I am happy to write a little about my experience with your work ethic over the years.  I know you came into our agricultural education program during a time that was incredibly stressful.  As a student for the first time in my class during Covid shutdown, it was challenging to fully explain and offer opportunities to our students when not meeting in person. Alex was one of only a handful of students on my rosters that year that took advantage of being involved through distance learning and was committed to attending class and participation when most others were barely present.  This first impression never waivered during your time in high school. Ms. Garcia was always polite and kind, conscientious, and produced excellence in her school work with a quiet grace. Alexandra became a leader in our school barn.  She helped feed the barn hundreds of feedings over the years during weekends, holidays, and summertime.  I was so impressed with her ability to tackle showing our school goats at the county and state fairs and being able to focus on details and identify when animals were sick or needed special attention. She also spent a tremendous amount of time working in our greenhouse and cut flower garden caring for flowers and harvesting them to donate to the local hospital as a service project for our FFA program. After graduation from high school, I continued to see growth in Alex as she managed her college courses and became a part-time assistant to my mother-in-law.  Our family was in desperate need to find someone that had the right personality to handle assisting my mother-in-law with upkeep of the home and assist her with shopping and even at times offering basic medical care as her health has declined and independence is limited. Alex has been a huge blessing to our family and gave us relief knowing someone smart and caring was checking in with her each week. Alex is not afraid of hard work and is able to follow directions and learn quickly.  She is trustworthy and honest and very consistent in her work.
