Hello everyone!

My name is Alexandra Garcia!

I am an Agriculture Education major with a strong commitment to helping future generations connect with the agricultural industry. My academic path and hands-on experience have shaped my passion for teaching, community engagement, and advancing agricultural literacy. I plan to continue this journey by becoming an Agriculture Education professor, where I can guide students, support emerging educators, and contribute to the growth of the field.

Throughout my involvement in agriculture, I’ve built a foundation in horticulture sales, leadership, and organizational management. I have held leadership roles such as FFA Chapter President and Horticulture Club Secretary, and I’ve contributed to meaningful initiatives including the Growing Kindness project, Adopt-a-Highway, FTCC Plant Sales and the Hurley Pot Committee. My background also includes experience as a FTCC Horticulture Plant Sales Associate and my previous participation in livestock showing, particularly goats.

My dedication to the agricultural community has been recognized through several honors, including earning the Old North State FFA Degree, receiving the 2023 DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, and being selected as a scholarship recipient by both the NC Association of Agricultural Fairs and the National FFA Organization.

This portfolio highlights my growth, accomplishments, and ongoing commitment to agricultural education. I hope it provides a clear picture of the educator and professional I strive to become.
